Thank you!The San Diego Symphony has a commitment to reaching all segments of our very diverse community.  Each season, the San Diego Symphony presents nearly 40 concerts and more than 150 related events, reaching 28,000 students from kindergarten through adult.  Our programs are comprehensive in their content and address California State Learning Standards in music and other subjects.  San Diego Symphony musicians take an active role in developing and presenting our programs, making symphonic music exciting and accessible to all.

The San Diego Symphony Young People’s Concerts offer students and teachers an opportunity to enjoy a 50-minute, interactive concert in the historic Copley Symphony Hall.  Led by Assistant Conductor/American Conducting Fellow Philip Mann, YPCs feature narration from the stage and are designed to address California State Learning Standards in music and other subjects. 

  • Concerts are geared toward grades 4-8, however all ages are welcome to attend.
  • Reservations will be made on a first-received, first-served basis beginning August 27, 2008 and only by filling out the Reservation Form.
  • The YPCs are open to the public.

Times
All performances begin at 9:45 and 11:15 a.m.

Prices
Ticket prices are $5.00, with one free ticket furnished for an adult chaperone with every ten tickets paid.

Payment
Teachers will receive an invoice with their confirmation letter (sent approximately 4-8 weeks before your concert date).  Schools may pay by credit card (AmEx, MC or Visa, only), check or cash.  Make checks payable to “San Diego Symphony.”  Payment should be made no earlier than one week before your scheduled concert.  You may also pay on the day of your concert or up to one week after.
